How to play Globillo

Objective

Guess the mysterious country or capital. There is only one correct answer per round.

Instructions

Start typing any country or capital and receive clues to find out how far you are from the target. The game uses a hint system based on the distance from your guess to the correct country or capital.

Color Indicators

• 🟢 Green: correct country or capital
• 🔴 Red: very close
• 🟠 Orange: quite close
• 🟡 Yellow: moderately far
• ⚪️ White: very far

In addition to color indicators, when you hover over each country or capital you have tried, the approximate distance in kilometers to the correct country or capital will be visible.

There is no limit to attempts, type as many country or capital names as needed until you discover the correct answer. Each attempt remains permanently visible on the screen to help you deduce the correct location.

The round ends when you guess the mysterious country or capital. Your points are added based on the number of attempts you made. Fewer attempts ensure a higher score. You can also get a time bonus. The faster you find the solution, the more points you get.

Mode: Countries

This mode displays the map of countries without showing names, and the distance to the target is calculated based on the country's total area. Each attempt highlights the country's entire silhouette with the corresponding color indicator. Use these indicators to deduce the correct country.

Mode: Capitals

This mode displays the map of countries without showing country names or capitals. The distance to the target is calculated based on the country's capital area. Each attempt highlights the capital as a circle with the corresponding color indicator. Each attempt draws a line toward the target. Use the indicators to deduce the correct country.

Points System

In each game, the starting score is 0 points. From your first attempt, scoring works as follows:

The total score is calculated by adding correct answer points and subtracting penalties (if applicable). If the total sum is negative, the final score will be 0.

Remember, it's not just about finding the correct answer, but reaching the solution in the shortest time and with the fewest attempts possible. Try to beat your points record on each try!

Expert Tips

In your first attempts, add countries or capitals located in the center of the world's major regions or continents. Using a country that is far away from everything or on the edge of a continent will make hints more ambiguous and reduce your chances of deducing by proximity.
